I currently have two Special O.P.S. pipes available. One for an XB9 and one for an XB12. Both pipes fit R, S, Ss, and X models. The 12 pipe is specifically for the 12 though as the interactive exhaust valve is still operational. I start with a stock 9 or 12 pipe and modify them for better sound and performance. They lose about 5 pounds and are shortened about 4 inches in the process. They beauty of starting with stock pipes is that the stock mounting points are all still used; the chin fairing mounts right up as usual; and the bike can still be jacked up for servicing by placing a jack under the pipe. The interactive exhaust valve is still operational in the 12 pipe which still helps give linear power and torque delivery. This also keeps your "Check Engine" light off since the valve is still doing the job it was designed to do. The 9 pipe can be had with a left or right exit. The 12 pipe has dual outlets which exit on both sides of the pipe. The 9 pipe can also been finished with dual outlets. I have made them both operational and I have made one just a "dummy" outlet. I also have an oval outlet available. I have a stock appearing version also. Looks exactly like the stock pipe but sounds like my others. If there is something else you would like please ask and I'll see what I can do to make you happy. All pipes leave me with fresh high-temp black paint. Some customers have had theirs Jet-Hotted sterling silver at a reasonable price (approximately $125 plus shipping). It looks very sharp! High-temp paint is available in many colors so if you want something else just ask..
Both the 9 and the 12 pipes are $275.00 US with exchange of your pipe. For the past two years I've been paying the shipping for all of my customers. Unfortunately, due to shipping rate increases and fuel surcharges I can no longer offer this to folks. I am now charging actual shipping charges. Overseas orders will need coordination with me. I can also ship USPS if you desire. If you want a pipe but don't want to send your stock pipe in you may be able to purchase one outright for $450.00 US. The outright pipe purchase option is quickly coming to an end. I had a large stockpile of pipes at one time but, due to a very large increase in business, my supplies have dwindled to nothing. If you would like to purchase a pipe outright it will take some coordination with me. You may have to wait for a pipe to come in for a little while.
Turn around time is about 2 weeks (usually sooner) depending on workload at the time. If your pipe is in good shape and I have a pipe made up already I will send out the one I have already to reduce down time for you. If you must have YOUR pipe back that is perfectly fine. That is the pipe you will get back.
I accept PayPal payments, Money Orders, and personal checks. Sorry, no Credit Cards (yet). Remember, I'm just one guy making pipes in his small shop behind his house. PayPal payments can be sent to- odiehawkdriver@gmail.com
Every product I make is backed by my 110% satisfaction guarantee. If, for ANY reason, you are not happy I will pay for the shipping back to me and refund your cash right away, no questions asked. I want you to be happy not only with the product but also with the service you receive from me.
Below are some pics of both pipes. You can also go to the Customer's Pics page for additional pictures. I will post more as I receive them.

This pipe is a special request from a customer. He wanted the same sound as a modded 9 pipe but still wanted it to look stock. This will take an extra day or two to finish.
I have a new option for outlets. I did this for a customer in Florida. I can put it on a 9 or a 12 pipe. This will add $20 to the price of the pipe.

I also make heat barriers for under the airbox on both XB9's and 12's (including the Ss , TT, R, S, and 'X' ) and under seat heat barriers for all bikes. The under airbox heat barriers can be used with your homemade intake system or ran under the lower airbox to keep some of the engine heat out of the intake tract as much as possible.
The under seat heat barriers are perfect for deflecting the heat from the engine and the cooling fan away from the seat to keep your rearend a little cooler.
All barrier products are made from products from Design Engineering Incorporated (DEI) and reflect radiant heat up to 2000 degrees F. If you want something in particular, just let me know. I can make any shape or design you're after.
Under Seat Barriers and all Airbox Barriers are $25.00 US each for XB9/12S/R's. Ss (Lightning Long) and Uly (X) underseat barriers are $30 US each due to their increased size. These are my original design barriers. I have new and improved ones below.
There are two additional pieces available for the
Uly's. One goes on the right hand side in front of the rear brake
reservior. It blocks a considerable amount of heat from hitting your
inner right thigh. This piece is available for $10. The left side piece
blocks the heat from your left thigh and also has a hole to allow the
wiring connection to protrude thru for easy access. This piece is also
$10.
I have some new versions of the seat barriers for the S, R, Ss/TT. They are larger and control the heat much better than the older, smaller versions. They are based on the front end piece of the Uly Maximum barrier and do a great job. These pieces are larger so their prices are obviously higher. The new verion runs $45 for an S, Ss, R, and TT.
The best heat protection for the Ulysses is the newer Maximum seat barrier. It is a 2-piece barrier and does a much better job of controlling the heat than the first version. The portion that goes under the seat is detachable from the front piece in the cooler months to get a little more heat into your body. There are tons of reports from the field on these barriers and everyone says they perform superbly. The Uly 2-piece Maximum barrier set is $65 plus shipping.
As with everything else these barriers are covered by my 110% satisfaction guarantee.

I have a two-piece version for the Uly models called the "Maximum" version. A friend who goes by "Maximum" on Badweatherbikers.com developed them. It is easy to install and allows you to remove the rear piece for cool weather riding to get a little more heat radiated towards your body. The front piece shields even more heat than before making for a more comfortable hot weather ride.

This is a shortened version of the first Uly barrier. Note that it doesn't cover the ECM and doesn't have the coverage of the new, two-piece Uly barrier. This barrier is $25.
This is the new, larger version of the S seat barrier. The R/Ss/TT version is similar.

I also modify stock XB9/12S/Ss tail sections (affectionately referred to as the Cheese Grater) to give your bike a smoother, shorter look. I start with a stock tail section and work it down by hand to what you see in the pictures. I can provide holes for blinker mounting or not so you can mount your own wherever you want. I can also make a cut-out for the license plate light so your plate is lit at night (the clear section is already in your taillight as the R and S use the same taillight; I just open up the tail section to allow it to shine on the plate). I can leave it as is if you plan on mounting your plate somewhere else. Most Graters' go out in primer but if you want yours painted give me a call and we can work that out. If needed, I also provide the plate mounting bracket. It is made of mild steel to allow you to bend it if needed to get the angle you want for your plate. There is no extra charge for normal painting (Buell paint/colors) or a plate bracket.
Grater Eliminators are $150.00 US with the exchange of your tail section.
